Stretch Tent Riggers
We’re always on the lookout for good people. If you have stretch tent rigging experience and want a new challenge, get in touch.
Intent is looking for riggers to join our crew. You’ll help with installations, removals, and loading and unloading, based at our Reigate warehouse. We offer different working arrangements depending on your experience and fit.
Stretch tents are unlike any other structure. Every tent is different, and no two jobs are ever the same. We’re growing fast, and we need people who enjoy that challenge.
If you already rig stretch tents, we want to hear from you. This role also offers real growth. You’ll build core rigging skills, then join an installation team, help maintain our equipment, and later help design and install custom structures.
We work with many different clients and sites. One day you might rig a tricky tent on a London rooftop. The next, you might rig a huge tent in a field. You’ll need a sharp eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and good physical fitness.
You
We want people who take responsibility, learn fast, and think long-term about their career. Rigging experience is a big plus. We also welcome people with event site work, structure building, or tough outdoor jobs behind them, as well as useful trade skills like building, fabrication, or landscaping. Most of all, we want reliable, hardworking people who communicate well.
Details
We’re based in Reigate, Surrey. You should live within easy commuting distance. Start times vary each day, and hours can be long. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, and you’ll need LWB experience. Forklift or telehandler tickets are a bonus. We provide training, tools, and support.

Groundworks and Temporary Structures Installer
Intent is looking for a hands-on, physically fit installer to join us as we grow our groundworks and structural installation team, based from our Reigate warehouse. About 70% of the role is steel post and groundworks installation – concreting posts, fitting brackets and fixings, drilling, and preparing sites for a build. These jobs usually run 3–4 days and cover several posts and fixings across different sites. The other 30% is working with our stretch tent crew on loading, rigging, de-rigging, and equipment care.
This is a varied, active role that takes you all over the country. You’ll work closely with an experienced team member and, over time, we expect you to grow into someone who can lead jobs on your own.
You
We need someone practical, fit, and self-motivated. This isn’t a sit-back role – we want someone who takes the lead and takes pride in doing physical work well. Useful experience includes groundworks or civil works, agricultural or farm work, tree surgery, landscape gardening, general building or labouring, or any tough outdoor trade.
You’ll need to be happy digging and working on the ground for long stretches – most days involve 4–5 hours of active groundwork, whether that’s digging, drilling, concreting, or installing and rigging. Above all, we value reliability, a strong work ethic, and a real interest in a varied, outdoor career outside the usual trades.
Details
Based in Reigate, Surrey, with site work across the UK throughout the season – you’ll need to live within reasonable commuting distance. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, and you’ll need experience driving a long-wheelbase van. Typical days run 7am–5pm (8–10 hours are standard), with early starts between 6am and 8am, so flexibility is important. It’s a full-time contract, minimum 32 hours a week over a 5-day week, with weekend work available but not required.
When overnight stays are needed, we cover your hotel and pay a daily allowance, with all travel and accommodation organised by us. Starting pay to be discussed, with real room to grow – as you take on more responsibility and start leading jobs yourself, your pay and role will grow with you. We’re investing in this side of the business and want the right person to grow with it.
